Wright and Ellison: Novelists of the Great Migration
Birmingham-born UC Santa Barbara professor Dr. Candace Waid, an author of essays and books on Southern authors including William Faulkner, Charles Chestnutt, and Eudora Welty, and Samford professor Dr. Kenyon Gradert, who studies the role of Puritanism in the abolitionist imagination, will speak about the writing of Richard Wright and Ralph Ellison, both novelists of the Great Migration.
